Enterprise Aurora – Aller Media on an inspirational journey in Switzerland
Enterprise Aurora by WoodWing is a full success. After Mengis Group and Tamedia transitioned to the new editing system, Scandinavia is now showing interest: On an inspirational trip to Switzerland from 28 to 29 August 2018, Aller Media familiarised itself with Aurora.
Aller Media is one of the biggest media companies in Scandinavia. A&F has already realised the newspaper project ‘Dagbladed’ in Norway with great success. Now, the Scandinavians are interested in Enterprise Aurora by WoodWing. In order to learn more about the editing system and its application, the media house headquartered in Copenhagen sent a team on a two-day trip to Switzerland. Here, they visited the Mengis Group in Valais and Tamedia in Zürich. Both companies are successfully using the editing system Enterprise Aurora already.
Aurora in action – Mengis Group and Tamedia
The Aller staff flew in from Stockholm and Copenhagen. Mengis Group in Valais was the first stop. After a short presentation of the companies, the visitors were given a tour of the editorial office. They were then given the opportunity to ask specific questions and discuss the benefits of Aurora in a Q&A session. The next day, a visit to Tamedia in Zürich was on the agenda. The schedule was similar – the companies started the day by introducing themselves in a short presentation. Aller then enjoyed a project presentation by Tamedia, a tour of the editorial office and a Q&A session, and gained deeper insights into the application of Aurora at Tamedia. That night, the group returned to Stockholm and Copenhagen full of new impressions.
Inspiration and information – A successful trip
The trip to Switzerland to learn about Aurora in action was a full success for the Scandinavian media company. The companies shared their ideas and solutions, and learned from each other. Both Mengis Group and Tamedia were fascinated with the template-controlled approach Aller had already implemented. Lars Kroløkke, Business Relationship Manager at Aller and co-organiser of the inspirational journey was enthusiastic:
"We had two incredibly inspiring days. The trip raised significant questions for our reflections and future choices concerning CMS and how to work and implement next level of multi-channel approach."
The main advantage of Aurora is that the application is browser-based and therefore device-independent. The focus is on media-neutral content recording according to the ‘Story first’ principle. With only a few clicks, a story is enriched with videos or images for online use or adapted for print and automatically transferred to InDesign.
